Pur Noisetier inc. is a company that was born from the “crying” need of parents with teething babies.

Following our first child's birth in 1997, we received an Aboriginal baby necklace meant to help with our baby's teething pains. Impressed by the results, we tried to buy more but they were impossible to find. My husband, a Forestry graduate, managed to find some Hazelwood trees and I attempted to make a few necklaces. The first ones were rudimentary and meant for our children, friends and family only. The more we found out about the benefits of Hazelwood, the more eager we were to make a safer, more marketable necklace.
 
Word of mouth increased the demand for the necklaces and by 1998 a drugstore owner asked us to provide inventory for his clients. The small business continued to grow. The premium quality of our products ensured us an increasing share of the market so, in 2002,  we committed ourselves to the business on a full-time basis. In 2003, firmly believing our products were here to stay, we incorporated Pur Noisetier inc.

Since then, we have bought a small farm and now cultivate our own Hazelwood trees. All wood is gathered from our own property. The wood beads are made on site and our product is 100% Natural, 100% Hand Made and 100% Canadian.

We now employ over 60 people and Pur Noisetier inc. has become the largest supplier of Hazelwood Jewelry and lotions in the Province of Quebec, with a market rapidly expanding throughout Canada, the US and Europe.
